Carlos se interesa en las políticas del poder y del conocimiento en la intersección de los ecosistemas, el manejo de recursos y las cosmologías indígenas. Crea piezas de no-ficción que conectan personas y espacios a través de testimonios, imágenes y composiciones sonoras. Ha trabajado con fronteras, vigilancia, infraestructura, campesinos, un río, inmigrantes, comunidades indígenas no reconocidas, violencia, la Amazonía, tierra, trenes y vías férreas, taladros, plantas y gestión climática, entre otros.

Carlos is interested in exploring the politics of power and knowledge in the interception of ecosystems, resource management, and indigenous worldviews. He creates non-fiction work that intertwines peoples, elements, and testimonies through evocative and sensorial images, and has worked recently on borderlands, surveillance, peasants, infrastructure, Colombia, a river, immigrants, violence, Indigenous peoples, the Amazon, soils, trains and railroads, drilling, plants, and the weather.
